About

Hi everyone. I'm Keith and I have a green guitar. I set up this website to help people learn how to play guitar and have fun at the same time.

A few years ago a friend of mine asked me if I would teach his son how to play guitar.

Initially I was reluctant since I hadn't really played professionally for a while and it was even longer since I'd taught guitar.

But I thought, hey the little guy is pretty keen (he was only 9 at the time) so why not just record a few lessons and put them up on a private website where he can have access to them.

This worked pretty well and to my surprise, it was great fun. So I did a few more lessons . . then a few more and before long he was whizzing up and down the fretboard and writing his own songs.

After 6 months or so, we had a pile of easy to digest lessons so I thought I might as well make them available to other people so they can also become guitar heroes.

This website is the distilled result of all of those lessons. Enjoy!

P.S. I'm a graduate of City of Leeds College Of Music and I play solo gigs singing and playing mostly my own songs and blues classics.

As you'll know there are many styles of playing the guitar and I don't intend to try and teach you all of these styles and skills - there are plenty of other courses on the internet that do it much better than me.

However, I will get you on to the first rung of the guitarist ladder and point you in the right direction to climb as high as you want to.

My music website is at www.keithdouglasmusic.com
