Gibson Double Neck Guitar – Sweet Guitar & FREE shipping

Gibson Double Neck Guitar

Much like the other top guitar manufacturers, Gibson have been associated with some high profile stars over the years.

And when it comes to the Gibson double neck guitar this is most definitely the case.

The Gibson EDS 1275 Double Neck Electric Guitar is a reissue of the original model which was originally released in 1963. However, it wasn't really until the early 70s when it became a real icon in the guitar world.

John McLaughlin and Jimmy Page (of Led Zep of course) were the two leading users of the Gibson double neck guitar. So with this guitar you get two necks for the prove of one! Awesome. The first is a 6 string neck and the other, a twelve string.

This reissue from Gibson is completely hand made in Nashville Tennessee and is manufactured to an extremely high standard as you would expect.

But because of that this Gibson double neck guitar is also a limited edition. There are not, and probably will never be, many of them around. So if you're lucky enough to get your hands on it you will be the koolest kat on the block with your certificate of authenticity.

So let's dig deeper into this guitar's features.

The body is surprisingly light for a mahogany guitar body. This is a great improvement. If you've ever picked up one of the older Gibson double neck guitars you'll know they weigh a ton and aren't particularly comfortable to hang round the neck. However, this reissue is still a little on the heavy side with it's 2 necks. You just need to get yourself a good thick strap.

The two necks set on the body are made of solid maple both with 20 fret fingerboards of rosewood and of course inlays.

There are 2 three way selector switches, one for each neck and along with the tune-o-matic bridge enable you t o create awesome sounds.

One of the best reasons I can see for getting this guitar is if you like to play 12 string electric. With both 12 and 6 string capabilities in your hands it means you don't have to carry that extra guitar to gigs. And Rickenbacker 12 strings can be heavy beasts!

This Gibson double neck guitar is getting great reviews but remember, there are only a few of them produced each year. And of course you get a Gibson Custom Shop hard shell case and certificate of authenticity to go with this stunning guitar.

The Gretsch 6122 Country Gentlemen is an arch top guitar with a hollow body. Manufactured by Gretsch, these guitars are very well known for their excellent quality. With a Bigsby style vibrato arm, this guitar is extremely slim and a maple neck. The guitar includes 21 frets, two soap bar pickups along with a partial block underneath. It also comprises of two knobs for volume and tone and a pickup selector switch. It also includes a pickup guard.

Designed in close conjunction with Paul Yandell, Chet Atkins' rhythm guitarist, the G6122-1959 Country Gentleman precisely replicates the world's most famous '59 6122 model. Electric guitar features include custom handmade pickups by TV Jones, a slightly wider neck, Bigsby vibrato tailpiece with stationary arm and optional swivel arm. With a slim neck, this guitar is easy to play.

The Gretsch 6122 is great for playing Jazz and country music since it delivers all the tone and playability needed for these genres of music. The sound you get from this guitar is nothing short of fantastic. Though it is slightly on the heavier side, it is not quite as burdensome as some of the other large arch top guitars. The guitar is quite easy to hold and easy to play and pretty much comfortable to carry around with you.

The Gretsch 6122 Country Gentlemen is a phenomenal sounding guitar with clear and outstanding tones that can put many other able bodied guitars to shame. Named after Chet Atkins who actually provided the inputs required for making this guitar, it was originally perfectly suited for playing specific types of jazz with a big band and old time jazz that still carried the country elements.

The tone is quite warm without being too mid ranged and without distorting at all. This guitar is also not bad for playing other genres of music like rock and blues. Any distortion from the regular genres will make the feedback a lot different than what we need and you may end up getting a very annoying kind of feedback. So, it is suggested to stick with the softer genres as they sound really great on this guitar.

The G6122 is a real gem of a product. With its amazing looks and the comfort in playing clean tunes, this guitar is a real solid one. Buying a new G6122 can cost you a lot of money but if you are going to get a guitar as lovely as this, then it is worth any kind of money.

With its amazing features, the G6122 is worth buying as it combines the old world charm of jazz as well as other genres of music. With its excellent sound quality you can be sure of creating great tunes without having to compromise on any thing. Just play some old time Jazz tunes with the Gretsch 6122 when sitting with a group of friends. Its crystal clear tone is definitely going to bowl you over.

Gretsch has been known for its close association with different rock stars. It has always been closely associated with the Beatles.

Gretsch has incorporated several new changes into its classic Duo Jet. It has made several improvements to the basic model to make the Pro Jet more appealing to today’s guitar players. By far the biggest difference is the pair of mini dual-coil pickups.

Though both the models look identical to the original Duo Jet from Gretsch, these guitars have more output and a much fatter tone, particularly more so when harnessed to a high amplifier. Another notable difference is that the Adjustomatic bridge has suitable individual saddles for each string and is pinned by a pair of Allen screws that allow it to stay afloat without moving under any pressure.

Hi everyone, I've set up this site to help people who want to learn how to play guitar (and yes I do have a green guitar, really.)

Yes I know that there are dozens of guitar website out there on the web but I've tried to build an independent site to point you in the right direction in your guitar learning venture.

I'm not a producer of guitar lessons so I won't be pushing any particular product. I don't mind if you don't buy any guitar lessons at all. Indeed there are loads of free guitar lessons available and I'll show you where.

I am however an affiliate of some of the lessons and products recommended which means if you ever do end up buying something through my links then I get a wee commission to spend on new guitar strings

The web has become an essential tool for many things in recent years and teaching people how to learn and master guitar is one of them. It's even reasonably straight forward to find web sites that will send you free video lessons. There are some folks out there who are more than happy to share their guitar knowledge. While there are definitely advantages to using the Internet to learn how to play the guitar fast, some disadvantages exist as well.

I'm here to help you learn how to play guitar and review guitars that you might be interested in buying. I hope to give you a full overview of what's available from the most expensive to the most basic.
